Javad Hakimpanah UI/UX Designer & Front-End Developer Hire me

Hi, my name is Javad.

I design products and ship the front-end myself.

Let's work together.

Over a decade bridging design and engineering — ten years on trading platforms, now Figma through React, Next.js, and Flutter. Lately I've been building AI-powered product features: a nine-stage video generation pipeline, a 28-screen mobile marketplace, and the web client for an AI image platform. Available for mid-level UI/UX and front-end roles, remote or Toronto-area.

FrameChain — turning a URL into a finished video

Problem
Small companies want a motion hero for their landing page but can't justify a video production budget. Generic stock footage doesn't match their brand, and generative video tools produce disconnected clips with no narrative thread.
Approach
Designed a nine-stage pipeline that reads the company's own site and reasons its way to a shot list before generating anything: scrape → creative brief → story → refinement → locked chain plan → keyframes → motion → assembly → export. The first five stages are free and reversible, so you can iterate on the concept before spending a cent. Each generated frame carries visual continuity forward into the next, which is what keeps the clips reading as one film instead of six unrelated shots.
Decision
Put every AI provider behind one interface with a fixture implementation as the default. The whole flow runs offline, for free, with a complete worked example — so development and demos never touch a paid API. Naming a paid provider has to be explicit; an API key sitting in the environment isn't treated as permission to spend.
Outcome
Working end-to-end product. Cost is quoted before every paid step and runs that would exceed a configured cap are blocked outright — which matters when a single multi-stage job can chain a dozen billable generations.

SkyPorter — designing a two-sided marketplace for mobile

  • Flutter
  • iOS & Android
  • Apr – Jun 2026
  • Primary designer and developer
Problem
Travellers fly with unused baggage allowance; senders need cheap routes for parcels. Matching them means collecting a lot of structured detail — route, dates, weight, item type, budget — from two different user types without the form fatigue that kills marketplace signups.
Approach
Split each side into a five-step guided flow rather than one long form, with unfinished listings saved as drafts so nobody loses progress. Designed 28 screens covering both flows plus explore, matching, in-app chat, notifications, saved listings, and profile. Built a weight-based cost estimate so senders see an estimated total before they commit to a listing.
Decision
Native-feeling tab navigation and platform-appropriate sign-in (Apple on iOS, Google on both) rather than a single cross-platform compromise. Marketplace trust depends on the app feeling native on the device you already trust.
Outcome
Complete iOS and Android app built in Flutter, wired to a Node.js REST API with push notifications through Firebase. I wrote 53 of the 64 commits on the mobile client.

Reno Studio — making an AI image tool usable by homeowners

  • Trimo Tech
  • Web client owner
  • May 2026 – present
Problem
The underlying model can produce a photorealistic renovation preview, but only if the prompt is precise. Homeowners don't write precise prompts — they say "make my driveway nicer." The gap between what the user can express and what the model needs was the whole product problem.
Approach
Replaced the free-text prompt box with a guided flow that walks the user through real supplier catalogs — stone, then colour, then laying pattern — and composes the technical prompt from those picks behind the scenes. Users are choosing products they can actually buy, not describing an aesthetic. Generalized it to handle two suppliers with different catalog structures, and built the step count to be dynamic so new renovation categories can add their own steps.
Decision
Serve catalog imagery from object storage rather than the repo. More than a hundred swatch, hero, and laying-pattern images (about 17 MB) were about to go into the shared git history — moving them to R2 and stripping them out before the first push kept the repo to code, not binaries.
Outcome
Guided studio flow shipped with test coverage on the material picker interactions. I also wrote the design specs and implementation plans the work was built from.

Production marketing sites for home-services clients

  • Freelance
  • Design & front-end
  • Altin Construction, Altin Landscaping, EliteViewGlass
Problem
Each client needed a fast, credible marketing site — not a page built on a generic site builder.
Approach
Designed and built each site from scratch, deployed on Cloudflare Workers with D1 database migrations.
Outcome
Three production sites live for real clients.

Redesigning the Ehsan Foods e-commerce experience

  • Ehsan Foods
  • UX Designer & Graphic Designer
  • 2023–2024
Problem
Customers struggled with product discovery on the existing site, and brand expression was inconsistent between the web store, packaging, and social.
Approach
Audited the browse and checkout flows, simplified the category structure, and tightened typography and spacing. Built a single visual system that flexed across web, packaging, and social. Ran feedback loops with the marketing and product teams to land tight visual coherence.
Outcome
A faster, more intuitive customer journey. Visual identity now consistent across every touchpoint — web, in-package, and social campaigns.

Designing for retail investors at Mofid

  • Mofid
  • UI/UX Designer
  • 2013–2023
  • Online brokerage & trading platform
Problem
The broker's account creation flow was friction-heavy and visually inconsistent with the rest of the platform, hurting completion.
Approach
Concept-to-final redesign of the authentication experience — refined typography hierarchy, interaction patterns, and reduced the steps to first usable account state. Documented patterns for adoption across the broader platform.
Outcome
Patterns from this work were adopted across the platform. Across a ten-year tenure I designed web and mobile interfaces for the brokerage, including its website.

About.

I'm a UI/UX designer and front-end developer based in the Toronto area. I've spent over a decade moving between Figma and code — ten of those years designing online brokerage and stock trading interfaces, and throughout, designing the screens then shipping the front-end myself. Most recently that's meant building AI-powered products at Trimo Tech: pipelines that generate video, tools that turn a photo into a renovation preview, and the interface work that makes any of it usable by a normal person. I care about clean visual systems, fast loading, and accessible defaults. Bilingual (English / Persian), Canadian citizen, available for mid-level UI/UX or front-end roles — remote anywhere in Canada or the US, or hybrid/onsite in the GTA.
